Differentiation 1. Lay down a couple of hoops along the floor. 2. Step 3 times into each hoop before moving onto the next one. 3. First make sure your child actually steps into each hoop 3 times, which is great for concentration. 4. Then run through the hoops with those 3 steps in a consistent rhythm. 5. To further increase the challenge, speed up the pattern through the hoop. 3. Balance 1. Stand on your left leg next to a paper bag. 2. Bend down to pick up the paper bag with your mouth. 3. The goal is to maintain balance without using your hands to help. 4. Put your arms behind your back to avoid using them. 5. Pick up the paper bag 5 times standing on your left leg. 6. Switch to your right leg 7. Adjust the paper bag's height for making it challenging to pick them up. 4. Orientation 1. Drop a basketball on the floor, lift your leg over it and catch the basketball after 1 or 2 bounces. 2. Lift the leg from the outside to the inside initially. 2. Then try to lift your leg over the basketball from the inside to the outside. 3. Try to alternate lifting your leg from the outside to the inside and vice versa. 4. Have your child lift the left leg 5 times over the basketball and catch then the right leg. 5. Rhythm 1. Define a pattern with clapping & passing along a cup to the next person in the circle or in pairs. 2. Initially go through the pattern very slowly but try to gain a rhythm. 3. Then over time, start to speed up the pattern while maintaining the rhythm. 4. Then change direction with passing the cup. 6. Hand - Eye Coordination 1. Drop the ball and catch it with both hands after one bounce. 2. I like to use a dodge ball to get started. 3. Use a smaller ball like a tennis ball if too easy. 4. Just remember that kids this young need successes quickly so choose a ball they can catch after a few tries. 5. A racquetball is another good choice, remember to just drop the ball to catch. as soon as you child starts throwing it down, it will be more difficult to catch. 7. Physical Activity 1. Jump up stairs with both feet simultaneously. 2. Jump 10 steps in a row. 3. Hold on to the railing or wall if too difficult.

Reaction 1. Hold 2 balloons at about shoulder height and drop one of them. 2. Your child has to react quick enough to catchit before it drops on the floor. 3. Hold the balloons at your waist height to increasethe challenge. 4. Then try to use smaller balloons to further increase the challenge. 5. Initially hold the smaller balloons high up in the air again to give your child enough reaction time. 6. the key is to adjust the size of the balloons that your child can catch at lead once within the first 5-7 tries 2. Differentiation 1. Throw a ball overhand through an open doorfrom a few meters away. 2. Once your child is successful, have it move one stepfurther back. 3. See how far they can move away from the doorand still be successful throwing it through the door. 4. Have your child stand sideways to throw overhead. 5. Initially have them start fairly close to the doorto be successful quickly. 6. Now for differentiation, throw the ball over a wallthrough the door. 7. It is challenging at this young age, go very closeto decrease the challenge. 8. Another differentiation: throw a frisbeethrough the door. 9. Your child should stand sideways to throw the frisbeeand not facing the door. 10. Start from close to the door and move your way further back. 3. Balance 1. Walk along a line, one step after another without stepping off it and maintaining balance. 2. Your child should keep both feet on the line. 3. Try to change direction along a line to increase the challenge. 4. Define a certain distance to cover to successfully pass the exercise. 4. Orientation 1. Throw up a scarf above your child's head. 2. Your child then has to spin 360 degrees and catch the scarf before it drops on the floor. 3. Your child should not look up untill after they havespun around 360 degrees. 4. Catch the scarf 5 times spinning around clockwise, then 5 times counter clockwise. 5. Rhythm 1. Start with one foot on top of a soccer or basketball. 2. Jump to the opposite side with the inside foot tapping the top of the ball and continue jumping sideways. 3. Start slowly first with stopping after every jump. 4. Speed it up and try to gain a rhythm. 5. To decrease the challenge, let some air out of the balls. 6. Hand - eye coordination 1. Squeeze a balloon out of your hand to then catch with both hands. 2. Squeezing it out of your hand is great for fine motor skills. 3. Squeeze the balloon strait up to have sufficient time to catch it. 4. Try squeezing the balloon with both your left and right hand. 7. Physical activity 1. Jump with both feet simultaneously onto empty card boxes untill they are flat. 2. Use card boxes big enough for kids to have to jump high up in the air. 3. Get a couple of card boxes of different heights ready for kids to crush several. 4. Make the boxes completely flat, ready for recycling. 5. Teach your child the concept of recycling.

Reaction 1. Hold out a piece of paper and with a whistle give a command at random intervals. 2. On command, both children try to grab the paper to improve reaction. 3. Have your children start with their hands behind their back play for points or just for fun. 4. Try to grab it with the right hands only for a few minutes then switch to grabbing with the left hand only. 2. Differentiation 1. Circle the right arm forwards and the left arm backwards. 2. Start with both arms at the top and do it very slowly initially. 3. Then try continuous circling on both sides. 4. Try to circle 10 times continuously. 5. Switch sides circling forwards with your left arm and backwards with your right arm. 3. Balance 1. Build a balance parcour with material available 2. Use the analogy of crossing a river stepping on stones without falling of. 3. If your child falls off, he has to start back at the beginning. 4. Have your child complete the parcour 5 times without falling off. 4. Orientation 1. Wear a cap so your child can't see, then spin her around 3 times. 2. With your instructions of "hot" & "cold", have her find and touch a card box. 3. Try it 3 times and move the box around after your child puts on the cap again. 4. Increase the challenge by using a smaller box. 5. Rhythm 1. Counting on 3, bounce the basketball twice and on the third count stop. 2. The goal is to get a consistent rhythm together which gives a nice sound. 3. Count out the numbers allowed to make it easier to get into a rhythm. 6. Hand Eye Coordination 1. Put 2 cones or similar next to each other with a foot's gap. 2. Each child stands a couple of yards/meters away from the cones to either side and try to pass the ball in-between the cones back to each other. 3. To increase the challenge, move further away from the cones or move the cones closer to each other. 7. Physical Activity 1. Put up a parcour with small obstacles at right angles. 2. Always facing forward, have your child jump over the obstacles either sideways or forwards from start to finish. 3. The key is to have your child face forward all the time to have to jump sideways when the obstacles asks for it. 4. Change the height of the obstacles depending on kids ages and size. 5. Have your child jump through the parcour 3 times without making the obstacles fall. We work on one skill each day of the week: 1. Reaction 2. Differentiation 3. Balance 4. Orientation 5. Rhythm 6. Hand - eye coordination 7. Physical activity
